Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RedactaBill, an AI-powered legal invoice redaction service operated by Trusler Legal, PLLC doing business as Lexpert AI ("we," "us," "our"). By using RedactaBill, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

RedactaBill is a tool that assists legal professionals in redacting privileged, strategic, and sensitive information from legal invoices and billing records before production to opposing counsel, courts, or other third parties. The Service:

  • Accepts PDF invoices uploaded by the user
  • Uses AI and pattern-matching to identify and propose redactions of privileged content, work product, strategy descriptions, and personally identifiable information
  • Allows users to review, adjust, and approve proposed redactions
  • Generates redacted PDF output with true content-stream removal (not visual overlay)

2. Professional Responsibility Disclaimer

RedactaBill is a tool to assist attorneys and legal staff. It is not a substitute for professional judgment.

  • AI-proposed redactions are suggestions only. The supervising attorney bears sole responsibility for reviewing and approving all redactions before production.
  • We do not guarantee that all privileged, confidential, or sensitive content will be identified. Users must independently verify that redactions are complete and appropriate.
  • Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Trusler Legal, PLLC / Lexpert AI.

3. Account Terms

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • Your account is part of the Lexpert product family. A single account provides access to all Lexpert products your subscription includes.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that you do not have the legal right to process
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or algorithms used by the Service
  • Use the Service for any purpose other than legitimate legal document redaction
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security controls
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission

5. Data Handling

As described in our Privacy Policy, RedactaBill operates on a zero-retention model:

  • Uploaded documents are held in temporary memory only for the duration of your session
  • Document content is never written to permanent storage, backed up, or archived
  • All temporary data is automatically purged when your session ends or after download
  • We do not use your document content to train AI models

6. Intellectual Property

  • Your content: You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the redacted output you download. We claim no ownership over your content.
  • Our service: The Service, including its software, AI models, design, and documentation, is owned by Trusler Legal, PLLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUSLER LEGAL, PLLC AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Inadvertent disclosure of privileged information due to incomplete or incorrect redactions, whether AI-proposed or user-approved
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from use of the Service

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ALL PRIVILEGED CONTENT WILL BE IDENTIFIED.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trusler Legal, PLLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Pricing and Payment

  • RedactaBill may offer free and paid tiers. Pricing, limits, and features for each tier are described on the Service website.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

11. Termination

  • You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Since we operate on a zero-retention model, there is no stored document data to delete.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or notice on the Service at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
